What is NCR?

NCR (No Carbon Required to give it its full name) is multiple sheets of paper that are coated with carbon to either the front, the back or both sides. This carbon then reacts when writing pressure is applied to the top sheet, allowing the transfer of the image through to the sheets below.

NCR sets

Sets are the least expensive way of manufacture. Comprising of 2, 3, 4 or sometimes 5 parts, all of the parts are glued together to make one complete set.

These sets can then be numbered and perforated if required.

NCR pads

NCR Pads are usually 50 sets (loose sets) collated together, comprising of 2, 3, 4 or sometimes 5 parts, generally in 50`s, and then glued into pad form. The Pads are supplied with a strawboard back, and then a writing shield that is inserted under a complete set, to stop the transfer of information from “travelling” through multiple sets in one go. The writing shield is a piece of card that is either supplied loose or in wraparound form (attached to the back of the pad).

The sets these can also be numbered and perforated if required.

NCR books

NCR Books are usually 50 sets (loose sets) collated together, comprising of 2, 3, 4 or sometimes 5 parts, generally in 50`s, and then stitched into book form. The main difference from a pad being that one of the sheets is to be kept secure in the book. This is achieved by perforating all the sheets but one, allowing the perforated ones to be torn out of the book and the non perforated sheet to be retained in the book via the stitching process.

The Books are supplied with a strawboard back, and then a writing shield that is inserted under a complete set, to stop the transfer of information from “travelling” through multiple sets in one go. The writing shield is a piece of card that is either supplied loose or in wraparound form (attached to the back of the pad). Books are supplied with covers that can be printed if you so wish.

The sets can also be numbered and perforated if required.

Laser sheets

Do you want to print on your forms on your laser printer to avoid manually filling in? Then you need Laser Sheets.

Laser Sheets are printed on laser paper as either single sheets or if you require 2 copies, one for you and one for your customer, we can print one sheet on white paper and the other on a coloured paper, collate the sheets together but not glue them. You then can print your details direct to your sheets and save your details on your computer. The cheaper alternative to computer stationery.

The sets can also be numbered and perforated if required.
